Course structure

Discovery: Describing where we'd like to get to

Sessions 1 and 2.

Establishing organisational context and high-level objectives, obstacles, and outcomes using these exercises (and more):

  • Celebration-5W – setting the context
  • True North / Obstacles – reflection, followed by obstacle generation and refinement
  • 15-minute FOTO (Lite) – the introductory version of our coaching game
  • Plan on a Page – organising the outcomes produced in the preceding exercises


Exploration: Prospecting for opportunities

Sessions 3 and 4.

Prospecting for opportunities, practising skills acquired in the first session and reinforcing what we have learned as we dig into the detail:

  • Survey debrief / obstacles – completing the Agendashift delivery assessment and working with the results
  • 15-minute FOTO (Classic) – the full version of our coaching game
  • Overview of some possible next steps

About the instructor
Mike Burrows

Leading with Outcomes is an Agendashift™ workshop and your instructor is Agendashift founder Mike Burrows. Mike came to prominence in the Lean-Agile community as the originator of Kanban’s values model, out of which came his first book, Kanban from the Inside (2014). His more recent books Agendashift (2nd edition 2021) and Right to Left (2019, audiobook 2020) bring a resolutely needs-based and outcome-oriented perspective to change, transformation, and the Lean-Agile landscape as a whole.
